I never really cared how the UI on my Windows XP machine looked before.  As long as it got the job done, I was happy.  But one day I finally decided that I wanted it to look cool.  So I put on my decorating hat and found some good looking, but useful items to spiff up the ol’ desktop.  All of this was done for free, and most of it was done without hogging up too many resources.

Have you ever sent someone a Youtube video and told them to fast forward to a certain time?  You can actually send them a link with a time stamp that will automatically set the video to play from wherever you want. All you have to do is add the time stamp at the end of the URL in this format: #t=1m59s.  This would set the video to play at 1 minute and 59 seconds.

For example, if I wanted to show you my absolute favorite part of The July 4th BBQ video, I would link you to:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2BIEremEw0#t=1m59s
