Careful if you’re a zombie this Halloween…From “Man Punches Another He Accuses of Being a ‘Zombie’“:

Iowa City police are investigating an early morning assault in which a man accused another of being a zombie, then punched him twice.

Police say the assault occurred at 1:17 a.m. Sunday at an Iowa City restaurant south of the University of Iowa campus.

A man was ordering food when he was approached by another man who called him a zombie, then hit him in the eye. When the victim tried to call police on his cell phone, the man punched him again, breaking his nose.

The man then ran out a back door.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

The victim stated “…send more paramedics” while on the way to the hospital.

Halloween is right around the corner, so I thought I’d share a ghost story or two.

I had some problems a while ago trying to upload some clips from the Drawback Halloween show. I thought I’d give it a try again, and SUCCESS we have a good clip on YouTube now:

You may not know this yet but there are a good lot of us here at NineCents that throw parties… to sew. No, they are not arranged by the female writer of this group but to disregard the extremely feminine side of these men would be wrong. It would be wrong of me to completely disregard the tomboy side of me too. I definitely am one. In fact, I had a big discussion last night about all the cartoons I loved watching while growing up like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, G.I. Joe and X-Men to name a few. MacGyver was also a hero but I mean, who doesn’t idolize someone who can escape a deadly situation with only a Swiss army knife, duct tape and bubble gum on hand?

So back to extremely masculine sewing parties. Since these sewing parties are held to make these macho men look even more macho than they already are in their painted and studded leather jackets, I thought I’d pass along some related info. As you know, for Halloween we learned 20 Ramones songs and played a couple gigs. I still haven’t gotten the raw footage from friday night, but our buddy Evan who maintains The CT Punk & Hardcore Myspace posted a clip. Hopefully by the end of the week, I will be posting our entire set from Friday…Enjoy!
