President Barack Obama Tonight is the President of the United State’s annual address to the United States Congress; The State of the Union. This should be an interesting one, to say the least. Over the first year of his Presidency, Barack Obama’s approval rating has dropped from 69% to 46%.

Tune in at 9pm on…well, pretty much any channel. If you’re interested, I’ll be live blogging everything I yell at my TV.

Surprisingly, Hillary Clinton will not be attending the ceremony.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

WASHINGTON – Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is missing President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address in order to attend a conference in London, but she is not the only absentee Cabinet member.

One member of the Cabinet is designated by the White House to ride out the speech in an undisclosed location as a precaution against the possibility of a catastrophe..she is not that Cabinet member.

The article went on to say…

Obama felt it was more important for her to go to London than to remain for his speech, Crowley said.

“She asked the president directly, `What do you want me to do?’ And he was very clear: These (London talks) are priorities, so your place is in London working on Yemen and Afghanistan-Pakistan,” Crowley said.

Sure, he did. I’m sorry, but I don’t believe two career politicians are that agreeable about what could only be seen as a massive snub.
