Okay, but more details won’t surface. It’ll pass and go into law. Aside from the lobbiest who wrote the bill, and the congressional pages that read bits and peices inbetween sending sexual text messages to their congressmen, the American people will only understand what they need to understand to maintain their health insurance.

We’re constantly headed back to the hypothetical world argument. We LIVE IN A HYPOTHETICAL WORLD.

The people will pay for what they need in terms of coverage, it’s just a matter of having a government program in place for the needy. I’m not saying this will eliminate the need for privatized insurance companies with their own policies, just that there will be a government plan in place for those who can’t afford something better. If you hit your stride and are in better financial standing, go private! See if I care. In the end, the majority of people will still have to work to get any sort of insurance.

Note: I have little sympathy for big insurance companies.

Am I against 1 payor? No

More details need to surface about the structure of this plan in order for many of us to make a decision, including our “beloved” congressmen who will have some sort of impact on this decision I HOPE.

Well, we’re either witnessing democracy fail including the fall of the capital structure OR we’re witnessing progress and the acceptance of mandatory stability.

Any government plan will inevitably become the only plan, because unlike private insurance companies, the governmant can (and will) operate at a loss. This is just another encroachment on our liberties, albeit an incremental one. Remember what they said about good intentions?
