Clarkson was the one who noticed, and boy is she mad: The singer recently told CBC News in Canada that she “fought and fought” to prevent her label from releasing “Already Gone” as a single, fearing that listeners would assume she had ripped off Beyoncé.
She didn’t. Both songs were written by Ryan Tedder, a hot pop songwriter who also co-wrote the Leona Lewis smash “Bleeding Love” and fronts the band OneRepublic. Clarkson blames Tedder for giving Beyoncé the same track he gave to her.
