From foodconsumer.org:

…as of May 10, a total of 4379 people in 29 countries have been diagnosed with the new flu. The organization reported 45 deaths related to the H1N1 flu.

[...]

The United States has reported 2254 cases, including two deaths…

So that’s 45 deaths in one month (world-wide) or two deaths in one month (U.S. only).

What are you more likely to die from?

Heart Attack - This one may be a little unfair because it’s the number one killer in the United States. Let’s reach for some other things….

You’re more likely to die from the obesity epidemic than the Swine Flu pandemic.

You’re more likely to be killed by a shark - just ask Samuel L. Jackson.

You’re more likely to be executed by lethal injection.

And finally, you’re more likely to kill yourself than die from Swine Flu.

Maybe I’m not being fair and balanced here. Lemme go the other direction so I don’t get any complaints:

You’re more likely to die from Swine Flu than you are from lightning, mountain lions, and meteorites.

Fake edit: man, I love messing around with statistics.
